Rory Marsden becomes CEO as Charlie Bryant moves to Chair

Rory Marsden, previously our Chief Operating Officer, has taken over as Chief Executive Officer of Hometrack. He succeeds Charlie Bryant, who is stepping down after 13 years leading the business, and is moving into the Chair position.

Rory has been with Hometrack in various roles since 2019 before becoming our COO in 2023. Prior to joining the group, he was a management consultant at Boston Consulting Group and PwC.

Charlie joined Hometrack as CEO in 2013, and under his leadership the business has grown into a leading provider of automated property valuations, risk decisioning tools and housing market data in the UK and the Netherlands (Calcasa). Charlie oversaw the sale of Hometrack to the ZPG group in 2017, and also led as Zoopla CEO from 2017 until 2025. Most recently, he led Hometrack’s acquisition by Providence Equity Partners.

Charlie Bryant, Chair of Hometrack, said: “It’s been a privilege to lead Hometrack over the last 13 years and to see the business grow into the UK and Netherlands’ most trusted automated valuation and property risk analytics provider. As we embark on the next stage of our valuation journey following the investment by Providence Equity Partners, I am delighted that Rory is stepping into the role of CEO. Not only has he been instrumental in driving our growth over the last 3 years as COO, but he has also earned the deep support and respect of both our customers and colleagues. I look forward to continuing to work with him and the team as they take the business forward.”

Rory Marsden, Chief Executive Officer of Hometrack, said: “Charlie has led Hometrack through an amazing 13 years that has seen the business transform; I am delighted he will remain with us as Chair as we enter our next stage. My focus will be working with our customers and teams as we continue to find new ways to use data and models to answer the most important questions around residential property.”
