Homebox, formerly known as Billing Better, announced today that it is rebranding to reflect its mission of simplifying the end-to-end home setup experience for renters. 

The company will continue to provide its signature service of bundling all home bills into one easy payment, while also launching a new home search platform in partnership with Hometrack.

The partnership allows users to search for their next home and combine the cost of rent within a single monthly payment for renters.

“We are excited to announce the rebranding of our company as Homebox,” said Jack Ray, CEO of Homebox. “Our goal has always been to simplify the lives of renters, and we believe that this rebranding will help us to better communicate that mission to our customers, where we see more and more renters look for a bills included experience.”

Partnering with Hometrack, Homebox are able to combine the cost of a rental home with the cost of utilities, broadband and council tax to give a renter the true cost of renting any home.

To add to this new way of listing a home, Homebox will also allow a renter to pre-verify themselves through Open Banking to show landlords, letting agents and BTR operators that they are suitable and ready to rent the home.

Data shows that “Bills Included” was the most searched-for term by renters in 2022 and Homebox’s new product allows a landlord or letting agent to offer any home with bills included, with 100% of the rent being paid to the agent or landlord as normal and the utilities set up in the name of the renter and paid directly to the bill providers.

“We believe that including bills in rental properties should be an option for any renter for any property,” said Ray. “Our new product allows a renter to decide themselves to set up their rent and bills into a single monthly payment.”

Homebox’s services will continue to include the management of all home bills, including electricity, gas, water, internet, and TV. The company offers a simple, user-friendly platform that allows users to easily manage their bills and track their expenses.
